I’m an engineering leader focused on platform engineering, infrastructure automation, reliability, security, and the operating models that help software organizations scale.
I’ve spent my career working across DevOps, SRE, developer platforms, source control modernization, regulated SaaS environments, distributed systems, and enterprise automation. My work tends to live at the intersection of technical depth and organizational change: building systems that make engineering teams faster, safer, and more consistent.
I currently lead platform and reliability engineering at Ping Identity, where I’m in the middle of consolidating over 20,000 repositories from across the organization into a single GitHub Enterprise environment — while also building the automation and governance tooling that makes that kind of work actually sustainable.
When I write about engineering, it tends to be practical: how platform teams reduce operational drag, how observability becomes a decision-making system instead of a monitoring dashboard, how infrastructure automation scales without becoming a second maintenance problem. The engineering identity is real. I’ve been doing this work for over 20 years and it’s genuinely how I think — in systems, patterns, feedback loops, root causes.
It’s also become something I needed to look at more honestly.
Earlier this year I finished Identity — a pre-release album about what happens when the systems that helped you survive begin to obscure the person underneath them. The songs use engineering as a language because that’s how I make sense of things. But they’re really about anxiety, exhaustion, disconnection, and the slow work of trying to recover a sense of self that got lost somewhere inside a long career of being the person who handles things.
Making it was hard. Releasing it felt necessary.
Outside of that: I work on cars (a 2013 Nissan Frontier and a 2006 Scion xB), paint Warhammer miniatures, and read a lot of science fiction. Right now I’m working through older Star Wars fiction. The now page has the current picture.
